Serve Where It Matters (S.W.I.M.) is an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s enforcement arm. This isn't a typical career fair—it’s an immersion into a world where your office has no walls and your "daily routine" could range from a routine patrol on the Arkansas River to a high-stakes search and rescue mission in the Ozarks.It’s not just a job; it’s a commitment to the 3 million citizens and 19 million acres of the Natural State.

We are hosting this event at the Ozark Highlands Nature Center for Arkansas high school seniors. To maintain an elite, hands-on environment, each session is strictly limited to 100 students.

At this event students will get an elite look at:

Special Operations: Witness the precision of our K-9 units, the technical skill of our Dive Team, and the rapid response of our Disaster Response teams.
The Front Lines: Hear the real stories of life on patrol. It’s about more than wildlife—it’s about high-stakes enforcement. We’ll discuss the reality of patrolling remote areas solo, conducting surveillance on poaching operations, enforcing boating under the influence (BUI) laws, and the technical side of investigating wildlife crimes. This is law enforcement in its most exclusive form, where community policing means being the primary protector of our state's most isolated regions.
The Path Forward: A clear roadmap on how to transition from a high school senior to a Cadet in the Academy.

Note on Parking: Due to the specialized nature of our facilities, on-site parking is extremely limited.

Schools are required to drop off and pick up students at the designated session times.
Personal vehicles for every student cannot be accommodated. Please plan for buses to ensure a smooth transition between the morning and afternoon sessions.
